The 2nd EO4GEO Earth Observation Summit took place online on 2-3 June, organized by the Croatian Presidency of the Council of EU and the EO4GEO consortium, of which GISIG is the coordinator.
The conference was designed to discuss future occupational profiles and necessary curricula in the Earth Observation sector with researchers, professionals and stakeholders. On this occasion, the products that the EO4GEO project is developing were also presented, such as the Body of Knowledge for the GI/EO domain and the tools based on it (e.g. Occupational Profile Tool, Job Offer Tool).
The Summit was held in parallel with the Copernicus “Eyes on Earth” Roadshow, planned to show EU citizens how space data can be used in daily life.
The fact that the joint event took place online due to the pandemic proved to be a strength since more interested people could attend and the events were successful in terms of participation.
